Want to say up front, I read the stickey. My question will break at least two of the rules. Here it is.

I have a 2005 Odyssey 727 CTT Lextra, triple toon, with an E-TEC 225 std(not H.O.). The motor has no prop on it so I do not have a starting point. I would like to use a Rebel or Cyclone prop.

I need help with a starting point. What model prop would you recommend and what size/pitch and why do you recommed it. Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some stats of the boat

Length Overall: 28'2"
Beam: 8'6"
Dry Weight: 2,880 lb.
Seating/Weight Capacity: 19/3,465 lb.
Fuel Capacity: 29 gal.[/B][/COLOR]

I guess my starting point would be with Odyssey. The should be able to tell ya what they put on them stock. Then figure out which way you would like to go. Did ya want more top end larger pitch or more lower end torque. Sorry I couldn't be more specific but I don't have much experience with pontoons. Hope this helped.

I'll stick my neck out and say 17P for the simple reason that a 225 Yamaha 2-stroke on a 2700# triple toon is equipped that way. It would certainly get you in the ball park. There are pontoon specific props (four blades) that have what are commonly called "elephant ears". These are very rounded blades that provide more reverse thrust than conventional props. This is very handy for docking and working your way into tight spaces.

Thanks for the reply. What diameter would you recommend?
