I'm currently running 13x19 prop on my Force 125hp outboard.

Couple of questions:

1. If I go to 13x17 prop, will I get more rpm? (I'm topping out at 3800rpm now according to aftermarket teleflex tach).

2. Where can I buy a prop reasonably priced?

Thanks.

Re: Prop help?

IF your tach is accurate, Newbie, you are way over propped.

I think your tach is off. Get it checked.

Buy your prop here:

http://www.boat-propellers.net/

Good luck. :)

Re: Prop help?

JB,
NewbieBoater is my old sign on name. The tach is brand new and appears to be working just fine. As said, the prop is 13x19 currently and I've looked on the site that you've provided, however, none of the information is clear IF IT will work with a Force 125hp or not. Once I establish that, I'll buy one. I just wasted $$$ on ebay buying a prop that won't fit and was "supposed" to work with the 125hp engine, however, it doesn't (the spline is different) and it did work on a 90hp. Now I have a 13x17 prop that fits a 90hp that I cannot use and lost $$ in the process, hence, why I'm asking here.

Thank you.

Re: Prop help?

I got a Hustler prop for my 85Hp 1988 Force but there is no hub for it on I-Boats or any other site!!! However I did go to Phils prop shop and he was able to hook me up. All I needed was a thrust washer. The good thing is I have the 1 and 1/16 inch prop nut so it should fit well. I have not recieved it yet but was assured of this.
Will let you know and Turning Point is doing us older force owners a disservice by not telling us we can fit their prop.

Titanic, thats what the kids want to call it, is being refitted with a new floor. And I got some stuff from I-Boats.
