Hi folks, newbie here, but the forum is great!
I have a "new to me" 92 200 hp Evinrude V6 on a 20'8" Stratos Bass boat.
Due to a close encounter with an object, I need to replace the current 13 3/4 X 24 SS 4 blade prop. I have a 13 3/4 25 SS 4 blade spare that came with the boat.
Did some checking on the prop finder on this site, and these numbers appear to be way off.
I'm not a tournament fisher, just me and the wife, occasionally pulling a tube full of grandchildren. "Hole shots" aren't a biggie nor is WOT really. Before I dinged the prop I was getting 50+ ( 5 K tach reading) indicated on speedo - plenty fast enough for me.
Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Prop Help

welcome, the most important thing when getting prop is to make sure you are in the upper recomended wot rpm range i have a 93' 200 evinrude i run 5700 which is where u should be to little will lug (over gas) try hitting 5500 and 5900 this will result in long engine life was 5000 rpm wot if so id go down two inches in pitch to pick up some rpm. u dont have to go fast all the time but just a few times to get the most effiecent prop

Re: Prop Help

Thanks for the reply. This is the first boat of this type that I have owned. According to manual, rpm should be 5k to 6k. I was trying to adjust the trim angle. Had some throttle left, tach indicated 5k, speed indicated a little over 50 mph. I was on the river at the time and didn't want to push further due to chop and traffic. Maybe I should find a big lake with smooth water to try again.
As I said, the boat history in unknown to me, but according to the prop finder I should be running a 14 1/4 to 14 3/4 24" or 25". Think these are 3 blade recommendations.
