I have asked this question once already under (prop prob) but got no response, can anyone help? The prop in question is a three blade prop and the only markings I can find are :MICHIGAN and the numbers 012049. is there any way I can find out what diameter this is and pitch. I suppose diameter is simply twice the radius but pitch is beyond me.

Hi bigoldboy1

Can't find that one anywhere. Sure it isn't 01204(7) instead of 9?

Re: prop I.D please help.

Hi Saltydog and thanks for the interest. The boat is a 14 ft Marina ski boat and the motor is a Johnson seahorse 75 of about year 1981. The prop on the boat at the moment is 13.25x17 and the problem is that it struggles to pull a skier out of the water and we can,t get a mono skier up from a deep water start but once on the plane it goes quite quick, unfortunately I have neither rev counter or speedo.

Kind of important to know what rpms your runnin at full throttle. Should be about 5200. Id reccomend trying a 13 3/4 by 15p. This should give a little more low end grunt. But i wouldnt reccomend runnin full throttle until ya get a tachometer and find out your rpms at full throttle.
