I have a 77 115hp merc on a 18 foot fiberglass boat , My top end is 32 mph at 4800 rpm's . The boat is not bad out of the hole . This is the # I got off the side of the prop ... OA603819 . What do I have here ? and what should I have for say 5500rpm's . Thanks

Crazy,<br /><br />Is this a Merc prop. If so, then the number should be formatted like this ... 48-******Axx. The xx after the 'A' will be the pitch. If the number you've give is close, I'd say you have a 19" prop. Changing pitch will change the revs about 200 per inch. So if you want 700 rev more then decrease the pitch by about 4 inches (props only come in 2" increments). So try a 15" prop.<br /><br />Chris.........
