prop identification

i am trying to identify a mercrusier prop... where do i find the dia/pitch? All i see is a number 48-78578-23 robert

wrong part # - after checking out prop imprint it is 48-79578a-4 23p. I used prop id and came up with a 15 x 23. the guy who sold it said it was a 14 1/2 x 21. I understand there is a difference but maybe still okay?
