prop nut

Hi, I have a 99 bravo 3 drive that is new to me. Can anyone tell me the wrench size I need to remove the props? It appears to be about 1 3/8ths but I could be off by a 1/16th or so. Thanks Andy

1 7/16" but wait till you get the rear prop off. The forward nut is 2 3/4". I fabricated a box end wrench from 3/8 boiler plate for the big one but you can find a socket at PepBoys etc. I think they are for 4X4 hub nuts. You will have to do a little work on the socket but it will fit.<br />john
