and in case you don't know, you could get your aluminum prop fixed to be as good as new by at a good "prop shop"... sometimes there's a local tig / heliarc welder who specializes in props. Call your local dealer or marina and ask who the best "prop guy" around is. Should be much less than buying a new one. They should be able to give you a price when they see how damaged it is. I know the guy I use would fix it for less than $30. Don't take it to a generic welder who doesn't routinely do props.<br /><br />And I wouldn't run it like that, except at low rpm's in "get home mode".... not so much because of the performance loss (which there will be), but because the vibration isn't doing anything to help the bearings and prop shaft seals in the lower unit. If you damage L.U., you'll be kickin' yourself. My friend ran his I/O for 20 mins at high speed after bending the tip of one blade of his stainless prop. There was just "a bit" of vibration. Repair bill was just "a bit" over $2000.<br /><br />good luck.<br /><br />Brent
