prop pitch and diameter for Honda 8 on sailboat

I have purchased a used MacGregor 26 ( 1990 ) with an 8 hp Honda which has a skibbled prop ( nicks, pitting, etc) I would like to learn how to do maintenance on the motor ( change impeller, etc ) and want to buy the most approproiate prop to replace what I have.
Suggestions would be greatly apreciated

There should be numbers on the barrel of the prop or under the prop nut.
Something like 8 X 8 (diameter X pitch) Pitch is the key number the diameter simply follows the design.
