Prop pitch?

Hi, new to this forum and new to boating. I have a 86 4 winns horizon 190 with the mercruiser 170 (a515268) with alpha one outdrive. I had the prop stolen and I'm not sure what pitch to get when ordering the new one. Any help would be great. Thanks!

sorry to hear about your prop but welcome to iBoats:welcome:.

I'm sure the prop experts will chime in soon, but what is the ratio of the drive?

FWIW, I'm thinking you'd start out with about a 17 pitch 3 blade aluminum.

A friend just bought the same boat and engine.....He has not run it yet but it has a 19p Stainless on it. Take this with a grain of salt! I have no idea if it hits proper RPM's yet
