i just got a 18 foot voyager. I put a 70 hrs. johnson on it that came off of a 15 ft. tri hull. i want to change the prop for better performance. what would be a good over all pitch? some other sites recommended a solas 4 blade 11 pitch would this be a good choice.

Re: prop problems

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Answer these questions, 'n We can help ya....

thanks for the reply. This is my problem, when I raise the trim the boat wants to cavitate . Another problem is the boat is hard to control,it pulls from side to side.I don't have a tack so i don't know the RPM . The prop now is aluminum i believe 12 1/4inch no numbers to pitch. The motor pushed a 15 1/2 ft. tri hull 28 to 30 MPH. I got 19 on the toon with 3 people.I don't know the weight either only had it for a fer weeks my first pontoon. I know i'm not much help . Just looking for a good all around prop fit. The weight is not heavy it does not have much furniture. Thanks for your time. George
