so my force has the original prop and I do believe that it’s exhausted and I could get some better performance getting a new one, anybody else have an aftermarket one onmy size engine with good performance? If so what pitch etc...I do believe it’s a 13 spline?
My boat is a 15 1/2ft Jason bass boat not sure about the weight I have in it.
i hope I posted this in the right section.

There is a prop section??

To change props and get the best results??
You need to know the rpm's at wide open throttle???
With a good prop of the right dimensions.
You can get yours rebuilt.
Google propeller repair near you?

Michigan Propeller has a prop finder service.
Send them the specs on hp, load, size and they can recommend a prop.

Did the boat come with this motor from the factory?
Added later?
Have a tach?

Aluminum props can wear down over time.
My dad had an OLD 60hp Johnson and used it for 20+ years without hitting anything.
He measured it and the diameter was worn down 1/4"
!/4" doesn't seem like a lot but made a lot difference in the performance.

The RPM's they sell a tach: Tiny Tach or something similar, about $20

It would be a 14 tooth pin drive and I use Michigan props. I tried a couple different ones. I run a 10x3/8" daim 11x1/2 pitch. runs my boat 26-27mph. the 13x1/2 pitch ran it at 22-23. this was on the same day when I tested the two same conditions and weight load. just an idea. different boat weights and conditions effect the outcome. 1989 force 50 507y9b engine.
