Howdy yall, this is my first post here. I just bought a 1991 Skeeter 175 SF 18 ft. boat this summer. The engine is a 1991 175 Merc XRI. It currently has a High Five prop on it. Pitch and size are not known, it doesn't have and markings on it. I use this boat for bass fishing and just pleasure on the water. I'd like to run a 3 blade prop to get the most speed/performance out of it. I have no idea what pitch size or brand to run. My fishing partner has a 1995 Skeeter with a 150 Black Max and just put on a 23 pitch Yamaha and it screams! Fully loaded with fishing gear and him and me in the boat it'll run 65-67 mph at 5500 rpm, his is a 18 ft. 150zx. With the High Five prop my max speed is 62 at 5900 rpm. Any ideas on what prop I should go after? Thanks for any help.
