I have a 85 wellcraft with the 260 mercruiser motor I have a 14.5 19p know and it just revs two high. I am debating between a 14.25x21p that is used for 70.00
from my local marine shop or buy a 14x21p cupped prop for 115.00 I have heard good things about a cuped prop just don't know that much about them. I want to get a prop buy tom. night. So I can have it buy the time I go out on the 4th.
Thanks In advance.

Well I just called the place I could get the cupped prop from they don't sell them in the store any more online only and that will take way to long to get it. But what is better.

I'm no expert but Really need more info:: Size of the boat, what is the rpm now? What is the wot speed? How is the hole shot?
Generally speaking the 2 inch increase in pitch should lower rpm about 400.
the cupped prop more. Both will slow hole shot.Someone should be along with more specific info.

Re: prop question please help

with the 19p and the motor all tuned know I can run about 38mph at like 5500 rpms it is a 21 foot boat that wellcraft says it weights 3000lbs. I am almost positive 4 weeks ago It would do like 47mph at 5100 rpm it does have some dings on all the blades. Know If I am cruising at like 5100rpm I can get on the gas more and get it to rev to like 6,000 rpm which I only did once and backed right back out of it. I know the guy I bought the boat from had removed the orginal motor and had a 350 rebuilt and had that all installed in the boat before I bought it.
