Is the prop supposed to move on the hub at all ?? I have a 125 hp force motor. Just out of curiosity ,
I scribed a line on the hub and the prop casting to check and see if it moves at all. Took the boat out with 5 adults in its.
I hit the throttle, and it takes off pretty quick considering the load. Planes up pretty easy. When I got it out of the water, checked the prop and
discovered the prop had turned on the hub somewhat.I didnt seem like it was slipping is this normal??.If it is slipping, does that mean if I got it rehubed,
it would work even better??
Thanks

Re: Prop question

Sounds like the hub is starting to wear out. It should not spin if in good condition.

Re: Prop question

I have been told by a prop guru that all hubs will creep a little what you have to watch out for is excess slippage that is not cavitation/ventilation.If the boat is accelerating well etc dont worry its normal
