Re: prop question
I run a 26 pitch stainless steel on a 17' Nitro at 60 mph + or - a few. The 25p is more of a speed prop. The best way to think about this is if you have a 15p prop, at one revolution it will move 15 inches in water. A 25p will move 25 inches in water. The props will not actually move that much under a load, but it gives you an idea as to how to think in pitch. The lower pitches is power the higher is speed. Lower pitches better hole shot, higher, more speed. To much pitch will hurt your performance. I try to run a prop that will give me max rpm with average load in the boat.
