Hello everyone,

I have a question about props. I currently have a 1989 Evinrude V-4 SPL outboard model #E88MSLCER. My question is that my current prop is a 12 3/4 x 21 three blade prop. It has a little wear on it but pushes the boat which is a 162XL Chapparel 15.5 Foot Ski boat at 47 MPH fast at WOT. I am looking for a spare replacement prop and e-bay has a three blade Stainless Steel prop 13 X 19 prop. I am bidding on it right now. I will be using this as my primary prop when I get it. Will my MPH go down and will it work better than a 21 pitch prop for pulling skiers and tubers?

I know your rpm at wot is needed in order to properly evaluate your situation. But I am betting (from a LOT of water-skiing years ago with an 85 hp) the 13 X 19 prop will be much more satisfactory for water-skiing.
