I am attempting to replace the prop on my Minkota Maxxum 101 trolling motor. I removed the nut and the washer and the instructions say it will pull off, but I cannot get it to budge. Any suggestions?
speaking generically spray a little WD40 or similar oil Have someone hold it up by the prop with shaft up.(with something to catch the motor if it falls)With a hardwood block held on the shaft and a hammer whack it a couple of times. If the prop is shot you may be able to cut it off carefully with a hack saw or even cut it with diagonal cutters or
tin snips. If you choose a hacksaw be sure to avoid the shaft and the drive pin that may be under the prop. Its possible that if you hit something hard with the prop the drive pin if present may be imbedded in the plastic.
