Prop Retainer Nut Issue

I have some fishing line in my prop (3850313) so started to try and remove the prop off my "new to me" boat. But, I am a little embarrassed to say I haven't even been able to figure out how to remove the retainer ring on the end of the shaft. It is a SX-C1 drive which the manual simply shows a cotter pin holding a retainer, but my boat doesn't have the pin and seems to have some other retainer nut. I looked on various youtube videos and other posts and images on the internet, but I can't seem to find any examples with my same setup.

Am I missing something obvious or do I need some sort of special tool to remove the retainer so I can access the prop nut and ultimately pull it off?

Good call, key was in the glove compartment. The pictures you posted helped me identify it immediately.

Thanks!

As a side note, I think I lucked out as I see no evidence of the fishing line at all, not wrapped around the shaft or into the seal. Regardless, since the boat has been sitting for four years I suppose I should follow the instructions in Adults Only on pressure testing.
