prop selection

Hi. I just replaced my old 74 Johnson 135hp w/a redone 77 Evinrude 140. It is on a 34' chris craft aqua home, and i currently have a 11 pitch prop. Top speed currently is 10.5 mph (according to GPS), at 5400 Rpm's. My question is....is this the right prop, w/ such high rpm's?

Sounds like the prop is close. RPM's are still a tad low(5800 would be nice), but that might be expected considering the load it's pushing. Without going to an even lower pitched prop(9"), I doubt you're going to do much better than you are right now....Neat boats, though....Most of those have twins, don't they??
