I have a Glasstream 190SE with a Mercruser Alpha 3.0L. I just get the boat and it runs very bad. It stopped or quit anything pass idle in the water. On ears it ran great.

I did a complete tune up, polint, condenser, plugs, wires, fuel filters. I tune the boat on ears and it seamed to run better. I went to the lake and it ran at idle good but still hesitated beyond idle unless I punched it up and it ran ok at full and idle only. Any thing inbetween and it ran like crap.

I checked the fuel pump pressure and it was within specs. I just got done rebuilding the carb and it was a mess, old fuel in it, complete t/d and rebuild. I hope that was the problem.

I started the boat up on ears and I just checked all the points and plugs and timing again. I also have the idle screw all the way in and then out 1-1/4 turns to start with like the book says.

It runs good in the drive way.

I was wondering when I go to the lake this week, what should I do to adjust idle rpm, and the idle screw as well as checking the WOT rpm and seeing where that is. I'm not very familar with any of the stuff ones needs to do on the water whit the boat.

Can anyone help?

Mike
