I have a 1987 Galaxy Weekender with a Mercruiser Alpha 1 outdrive. What information do I need to replace the prop? The current prop is damaged, however, the boat does run ok with it (slight vibration). I would like to replace it with a stock prop. (i believe the prop has never been changed). The boat is used for pleasure only and never has more than 4 adults and 1 child. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

Re: prop selection

the slight vibration is VERY BAD for your drive , i would not recomend running it like that

if the boat currently reaches it correct WOT (wide open throtel) than you should be able to remove it and carry it down to a prop store and match it up

there are offen numbers stamped on the prop like 14 x 19 which is the size

tommays
