1985 Wellcraft, 24.8 Sportsman, Twin 140 [4 cyl] 3.0 mercruiser engines. Outdrives both standard rotation.
Main use is fishing, longer runs to the fishing grounds.
Occasional water sports @ tubing and knee boarding.

Neither prop has any identifying numbers for size or pitch, and they are getting a bit rough after a few years of use. They were repaired once already and im thinking of just getting new ones.

Any idea of what the proper size and pitch should be?

Re: Prop size question

Have you looked under the prop nut?
Take them to a prop shop they can measure and tell you if
worth fixing. If they are from 85 they may be due for replacement.
Are they aluminum or stainless?

Re: Prop size question

you should try piranha propellers, i run my fourwinns for boating in the local rivers here in northern california. so this prop is really good for my application. the shallow water ate up my alum props before and the repair costs got to be to much. the piranhas are affordable for my income and easy to fix. here is the link to their website. i believe there is a few videos on there. www.piranhapropellers.com

no, never thought of looking under the nut, they are old aluminum, least 10 years old, fixed at least once before.... time for new, keep the best of the old for a spare....
