I have a Sundancer 240D 24 Foot with a Johnson 115. The current prop is a 3 x 14 x 17 which needs to be replaced. It delivers about 22 MPH at top end which seems slow. Is there a better prop that I should consider? RPM is about 5000 I think at top end.

I would think a tritoon would do better though it does seem that pontoon/tritoons speeds are all over the place.

Is your speed by gps Your slip is amazingly high at about 42%.tritoons can produce high slip but 42 seems unusual.
You could try having the prop repaired and try the numbers again.I'll double check the gear ratio.

Verified with GPS, 22 MPH at 5200 RPM. Planning to order a new one. Guess I'll order the same size.

You might try a 4 blade 15" Should lower the slip and improve handling and rpm.
