Prop Size????

I have 1996 Trophy2002 with 120 Force. What is the standered prop size Dia and Pitch for this boat. I use it for fishing. Looking for something to save fuel, do' :p nt care much for speed. Thanks

Tommy, the correct prop is one that will allow the motor to rev up to its suggested RPM at wide open throttle. I would try to arrange to borrow some props for trial runs, and then buy the one that meets that criteria. My guess is that you will need a 17 or 19 inch pitch prop for that boat/motor combo. I would start with these and adjust up or down. Remember, each 1 inch change in pitch will cause about a 200RPM change. So it your motor turns 4800 RPM with a 19 inch pitch prop, a 17 inch pitch prop will turn about 5200RPM.

Tommy, report back on RPM for the 17 if you would....<br />Don't want to bust any bubbles, but I think a 15" will be a better choice, we'll see.
