prop size ????

OK so i talked to a marina and they said my boat should have a 14.5 x 19 prop the one that is on it (damaged) is a 14 x 18 my wot should be 3800 - 4200 with the current prop wot is 5200 (way to high IMO) just wondering if i should get the 14.5 x 19 or maybe somthing larger

What boat/engine combination?recommended rpm range?Rpm from a damaged prop doesn't mean much.
You could get it repaired and get the real numbers and know better where you are at. If a prop change is indicated you can keep the old one for a spare.If your present rpm were accurate a 1" change in pitch would be like spitting in the ocean.You would need a 5" change in pitch just to reach 4,200.
You might check the settings on the tach.What is the tach idle reading?
