prop spins in nuetral

I Just picked up a 1990 Bayliner Capri 17'. It has a Force L-drive 90hp ( I think). The prop spins when in nuetral. Is this normal? This is my first boat & I dont know too much about them other than they float.

I only say it so you'll continue to be a Boater,+ Never become an Exboater.....

That boat, or more so it's Drive,....
Is the Least desirable,+ the about Impossible to get Repaired thing on the Planet.....
Parts are Not Available,...... Period.....

Please,..... PLEASE,... Sell that boat Tomorrow......
