Hello I just purchased a 1995 2300 ebb tide deck boat with ALPHA 1 drive 5.0 engine. I know poor me. Could someone point me in the right direction as to what prop came with this boat. no prop on shaft at present so i am totally out in left field, i know i will probably have to do an experiment or 3 but i need somewhere to start. guessing on water weight at 5000 lbs. if know one has idea for the ebb tide any close boat similar drive engine weight etc would at least give me a start point. I have lots and lots of experience in outboards and large inboard boats but this is my first i/o so I have no where else to turn. Thanks Mike

at this point nothing fancy just general cruising occasional skier!!

Re: Prop starting point

Find yourself a local prop shop that allows you to swap props and tell him your story. Props are what he does for a living and if he has been at it for awhile can probably get you pretty close the first shot. Take the prop and carefully test it without hitting anything. Take it bake to him and tell him how it went. He can direct you from there. You obviously will spend maybe $100 over what you would buy out of a catalog or off the www, but what you get will work for you and give you that satisfaction over the life of the boat.....the money is gone when you spend it.

HTH,

Mark
