prop sugestions for 19 larson open bow

I have a 1989 19 ft open bow Larson with a 3.7l mercruiser (470) the prop that's on the boat is a 21 pitch, the max I have gone at WOT has been 35 mph, at 4300 RPMs the prop is beat up and I'm looking at replacing it, should I stick to what's on it or what would be a decent upgrade for it? Thanks for the any input in advance.

Since your WOT rpm isn't bad, I would replace with a new prop of the same size.

If your old prop is beat up, you'll see a noticeable improve in performance with a new one.

Best bang for the buck might be the Solas Rubex 14-3/10 X 21 for $107.04.

I would try a 19 pitch. It will let you wind up that engine quicker. Not that you would get more top speed, but rather get better holeshot/planing response time. Especially if you want to pull toys.

Full throttle operating range for the Mercuiser 470 is 3800-4200 rpm. :facepalm:
