Would like to get better hole shot (faster on plane). The 100 hp is on a 2025 Lund, slightly under powered. With one person gets up on plane quickly. Slow to get on plane with two people and live well full of water. Currently it has a 17 pitch prop. Should I drop pitch to a 16 or 15? Would stainless be a good option? Any other suggestions RPM range 5000 to 6000. Prop reccomendations appreciated

The boat is rated for a minimum of 135 so I think you are a little more than slightly under powered.
Dry weight is about 2000. We can tell better about your setup if you get us a lightly loaded wot rpm and gps speed.
I do think that a 13" prop should do a lot better.
An 11" prop is more like what you would put on a pontoon boat.
Is the motor in excellent tune?
Check that the throttle is opening all the way.
Is the bottom clean and smooth?
Has the foam under the floor absorbed water?

Sorry I said 13 it is a 17 pitch prop. thanks

I agree but purchased the boat with enough margin to repower until then will run it. With one person it goes 33.8 at 6000 RPM GPS, with two people on board and live wells full of water it will go 30.8 with max RPM of 5400 The prop is a 13 1/4 X 17. If this is any help thanks

Assuming everything is good I think drop one inch pitch with a Solas Amita or Rubex 4 blade.
Should maintain rpm and improve hole shot and maintain speed better with a load.Though max speed may be reduced from the pitch change.
If the 100 is a temporary setup I don't think a ss prop is worth the expense.

Going to a 15 pitch a couple of questions!!
What is the difference between the Solas Amita or the Rubex? Do you recommend the Solas over the Mich Wheel Props. While Mich props are more expensive then the solas did find them on sale thanks

If you go to a 15" you'll have to really watch the rpm. and you will likely lose more top end than with a 1" pitch reduction.
1" is the suggested reduction to maintain rpm with a 4 blade.A 4 blade should improve hole shot, stay on plane easier at reduced throttle,
seem smoother and respond better around the dock.
If you mean a 15" 3 blade your wot rpm could be 6400.Of course it should improve the loaded rpm.
The Amita and Rubex are the same prop. The Rubex has a removable hub.
I can't speak to the Michigan Wheel.I do believe they have been around for a really long time.
I had a vintage boat with a Michigan wheel installed circa 1930.
The Solas aluminum props use "squeeze cast"technology which makes thinner stronger al. props.

Looked for a 16 pitch in a less then 14" diameter can't find one. The boat is a tiller 2001 lund 2025 weighs 1800# and max hp rating is a 125. The boat is a 2001 and was mfg when they were putting on two strokes which performed well on these boats. Ordered a Solas 4 blade 15 pitch anxious to see the performance difference.
