I have a slightly used stainless steel prop from a 28? 1997 Bayliner 2858, Bravo II outdrive, Mercruiser 7.4L gas engine that I want to swap for a new stainless prop for my Ranger 335V bass boat with a 1981 115HP Johnson outboard motor (J115TLCIM). I don't know the pitch of the spare prop and so its hard to market it (plus I shy away from private party, long distance transactions).

Any suggestions on how to accomplish such a swap?

welcome aboard

sell your prop on ebay, craigslist, etc.

the bravo 2 prop is huge compared to the prop you need for the johnyrude

you will need to know pitch, diameter, or part number of the prop you are trying to get rid of.

also, remember - no soliciting in the forums.

Thanks! Do you think it would be worth it to have a professional prop retailer certify the prop's condition and determine the pitch (which I can't find anywhere) prior to trying to sell it online? I think there might be a place in the Long Beach / San Pedro harbor area (Calif.) that might do this.

There should be a prop part number on the hub
