I have a 14ft sea nymph mod v with a 1983 40hp merc, I am hitting 5300 rpms with a 11p prop. My speed is 25 mph on gps. I went from a 13p to a 11p hustler prop to get the rpms up and now it seems when I give it the gas its not going anywhere fast, has a bit of bow lift and it gets on plane slow and then picks up speed. I dont have power trim and have thought of adding a after market unit. I just wondered if there might be a better prop. tanks for any thoughts.
