"prop up" question, omc 5.0L

Hey all, I have a 88 bayliner Capri 1950 with an omc 5.0L cobra. Omc says WOT on this setup is 4200-4600rpm. Currently if I go WOT I am running 4900-5000rpm, running about 48mph.

I have been told I probably need to prop up to bring my rpms back down to the 4200-4600 range at WOT.

I currently have an aluminum 14.5x19 with number 389924 on the prop.

You are correct, you should go up to a 21 pitch.
