Prop vent hole mod re-visited

Hello,
Has anyone vented a 1988...110 HP Johnson's prop, 13.25 x 15p rh 3 blade alunimum?
What size hole worked on ?
The boat is a 16 ft bowrider about 2k pounds.

Why would you want to? Usually its done with SS props, not sure how aluminum would react to exhaust gas flowing around it. Venting makes the prop cavitate/ventilate to allow the engine to build speed faster (less drag on the prop at slow speeds)for a better hole shot, and has no effect at WOT.

There has been a picture of an OMC prop ported with the dimensions on this site. Mr. Dhadley may know where it is. If he can't help you might re enter the title: Dimensions for porting an OMC prop. Hopefully the person(s) knowing the whereabouts will respond. Just keep bumping it up till you get someone to answer.

On porting an alum prop, Turning Point's Hustler is an alum prop that has a high rake, cupped blades, and ports. It is designed to compete with SS and only in material and resultant blade thickness, and price, is it different that some SS on the market.
