Prop won't turn

I have a 96 Mariah, Bravo One out drive. While in boat the other day as I accelerated up the boat quit moving. Prop does not turn. No loud noises were heard. It does not seem to be going into gear at all. Help

If it does not sound like it is going into gear, have you checked the shift cable? It could be broken, or have come out of the holder and that may cause it to pop out of gear. You said that the prop does not turn, is it stuck, or will it not turn with engine power? More info the better.
