Re: PROP

First, count the rivets that meet the surface of the water when the boat is on plane under a normal load. For each 110 rivets, you want to deduct 1% frim 100. If there are no rivets, just subtract 10%. Next divide the length of the boat by the width and multiply by 14.4. This will give you your slip coefficient. Divide the horsepower by the slip coefficient and add 9. This will be your ideal pitch. But before you go out and buy one with that number, get a shovel and start shoveling because I'm full of you-know-what. I'm afraid the best way to find out is by good old trial and error. What a shame! you have to go for a boat ride. Life sucks sometimes. ;)

Re: PROP

The pitch of the prop will depend on the RPMs at WOT at an average load. What pitch do you have now, what is the max rated RPM of your motor and what RPMs are you getting now?
