What do you guys think of 4 blade comosite props i think the brand i saw was named comp prop whats the scoop on these

there is a prop forum in here. my expierence they are junk. not even worthy of a spare. 2 blades broke just taking off 200 hp. not to mention if you hit anything all blades are a total loss. my 2 cents. im sure some one will tell you how great they are

I had the same experience as Junior. The CompProp 4 blade 23 flexed so much on my boat, that it ran about the same as my 19 aluminum. Used it for skiing on a 175 Evinrude. Annually, one of the blade tips would fall off-the separation point showed an inclusion in the casting. I sent 3 of them back to the factory and they were replaced free due to the mfg'g defect. After the 3rd new one came back I sold it. Look for another type prop.
