Could someone please advise on the best prop size (diameter & pitch) to get for my 88 Bayliner 19' with a OMC 3.0 I/O GM engine. I have a family of 5 and spend much of my time pulling a tube or skiing.

Re: Prop

The prop I am currently using is a Vortex Aluminum, 13 3/4" X 15. The speed at WOT is about 30mph. The RPM is about 4300 at WOT.

Re: Prop

Sounds like you are right about where you want to be, Referencing Mercruiser 3.0L information you are near the low end on the WOT RPM's which means that you can drop your pitch one or maybe two inches and gain some hole shot as well as increase your WOT RPM. Not sure what the max WOT PRM is exactly but I would guess it to be somewhere near 4600 to 4800. Each inch of pitch drop you make will increase your WOT by about 200 RPM but will also get you (and any skiier) out of the water much faster.
