What would yall reccoend for a 1996 johnson fast strike 115 hp on an 18 foot bass boat. the current prop is 13 7/8 x 19. Any suggestions for increased top end etc..... stainless or alluminiun?

All prop selections should be based on the rpm's of the engine. Yes, a ss should get you a little more speed.<br /><br />What rpm are you attaining now, at wide open throttle(WOT)?<br /><br />You should be targeting 5500-6000 rpm on that motor. If your rpm are in this range, don't mess with it. Running too few rpm, or too many rpm, can severely shorten the life of the engine.<br /><br />If you increase the pitch of the prop one inch, you will drop the engine rpm by 200+ rpm. <br /><br />You may need to fine tune the motor setup (x dimension), or setback.
