I have a 2000 21SE Parker with a Yamaha 150hp outboard. Last season I had the propeller reworked due to a crack in one of the blades. The boat runs great with the reworked prop but I am using a great deal of fuel. I have a friend with the same Parker and his RPMs are about 900 lower than mine at the same speed. I am thinking that the prop is the difference between the 2 boats.
With the price of fuel I need to do something about this ASAP.
The prop that is called for on the boat is 13 3/4 with a 17 pitch, I can measure the diameter but have no idea about the pitch.
Need some help

Re: Propeller Question

My question would be if his RPM is 900 lower than yours, what is your WOT RPM????

Re: Propeller Question

My WOT is 5200 and the boat will max out at 32 MPH. On a YAMAHA performance bulletin I read the WOT is correct but the boat should max out at 42 MPH. I just had the prop checked and had the blades cupped. I'll take it out this weekend and see if there is any difference.
