Propeller Retaining Clip

I have a 90hp Force outboard motor. I need to change the propeller. It looks like a fairly simple job. However, I need to know how to remove the retaining clip. Do I bend the tabs forward and loosen the nut, or is there something else I need to do? Do I need any special tools. What happens if I break a tab off?

Buy a New Lock...

There are six tabs. Most people use three. You only need one. If you break one use a different tab, that's all.
