Is there a minimum clearance recommended between the propeller blades and the fin/skeg? Mine just barely misses it. It is OK to shave off a bit of the fin to get more clearance?
If your refering to the anode just below the antivent plate you can notch it
a little. If it is indeed the skeg I would suspect it is the wrong prop or perhaps needs a thrust washer.
I did mean the anode. Thanks for the responses. I just checked the prop and it looks like it was actually hitting it just a little. Although it just clears when I turn it by hand. Maybe in reverse it pulled back? I did not hear it make contact.
