My question? Today I hit something in the hudson. Not to bad, but when we took the boat out of the water I  notice a small chip and crack on the propeller. It's about 1/4 inch long. Should I worry about this or what?

Re: propeller

The safest thing might be to have a prop shop weld the crack and fill in the chip. An unbalanced prop could cause problems for your lower unit.

Re: propeller

Your prop is a balanced unit, just as your tires, driveshaft, etc. If it isn't balanced then it isn't performing the way it should and could possibly cause damage. Have it checked by a prop shop to have it fixed or replaced.
