Re: Propeller

I was running a 10/58 X 12 prop on my 40 HP this was about the right pitch for the bass boat 17.5 feet. An 11 P wasn,t enough and the 13 P was under RPM Now I have a 70 HP with a 14 P which seems pretty good. Because your boat seems lighter then mine I would consider about a 13 P. The motor has enough power to push with that and possibly even a 14 P depending on the weight and the amount of people you bring out with you. your looking to get around 5500 RPM. No more than that and no less than 5000. If this is a jon boat with the three cross member aluminu bench seats that is a light boat for a 50 HP you may be looking for a 17 to 21 pitch for that.

Re: Propeller

I suggest you run your numbers through the Mercury Marine(on their wed site) prop selector to get a recommendation.

A quick shot using the limited info provided yielded a 13 or 14 pitch, depending on the style of prop.

Answering the sticky above; providing all the info you can, will help us make an informed recommendation.

Re: Propeller

My ballpark guess would be a 14 or 15.
2 stroke or 4?
