the cotter key that holds the propeller on is it any thing special,the one i have is very rusty will it break,and then the nut will loosen

Best to use the proper size stainless steel cotter pin leafs.Don't want to lose a prop underway.

Available at any hardware store and of course, your dealer. Always carry a spare....
