Hi

I have just fitted a new Mercury 140hp to my 6 metre boat it has a 19 pitch high five prop on it that is giving me 5900 rpm and I can reach the rev limiter when I trim the engine up to the first index on the trim gauge. I am using the boat for skiing.

Do I need to go up in pitch or change my prop.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Re: Propellers

You could probably rip the skiers arms out of the sockets with that set-up. You could keep that prop for pulling skiers, tubes and ocationally a stump or two, but if you want max top end, you might want to try a 23P four blade.
