Hello, I have a 50hp Evinrude with a 20 gallon permanent tank on board with a fuel pickup line and a barb on the end. I'm getting lots of air leak from what I'm assuming is the fuel line bulb. I ended up buying a new OMC hose that has the quick connects. My question is, since I'm changing the fuel line out can I install a male quick connect to the fuel pickup on the tank? It seems to me I may be getting some air leaks there too? Or does it have to stay with the existing connection? It was an expensive hose and thought if I just switched the connection to the tank I wouldn't have to modify the hose and also be able to use a portable tank if I wanted to. Thanks in advance for advice, I can't seem to find a answer on the rest of the web.

Ok thank you! I was worried it may interfere with the tank flow somehow. I will pick one up tomorrow then!
