Lastsummer I mounted a 25 hp long shaft on my son's restored 10' GW Invader by raising the transom by about 4". I think it is cavitating.
What is the optimum height for the motor? Or what I've been reading, the ideal height for the cavitation plate. Where is this plate located on the lower unit?

Hey freeb
Cavitation plate should be even with the bottom of the hull.
