I have a 23 ft. Cruiser with a 350 Chevy/Mercruiser I/O. The motor was new about 6 years ago and while warming it up it generally bumps on 200 on the gage before opening up. We are also running a heat exchanger with this. Seems a little hot to me (could be the gage) for opening, but thought I'd see what you all think. What temp thermostat would be the best for this set up? 180? It runs mostly in the salt.
