Proper Trolling Motor Shaft

Hey Guys! I have a Lund 1440V with a 34 inch deep bow. For a bow-mounted trolling motor, what's the right length of shaft for my boat? How many pounds of thrust will be enough? Thanks!

Go to either Minnkota or MotorGuide web site. They have motor selection guides there. 30 - 35# should be big enough for your boat. Shaft length is determined by measuring the distance from the top of bow to the water line. Then add at least a foot to 18 inches.
